EA and Respawn Entertainment have today unveiled Season 2 of their popular battle royale title Apex Legends, dubbed Battle Charge. And with this new season comes a whole host of new additions for fans of the game to sink their teeth into.
The first new addition is a brand new Legend to try out. Her name is Natalie “Wattson” Paquette, and she’s a fan of all things electrical. Check out what she’ll bring to the Games in her official launch trailer below:
But that’s not all, there have been strange things afoot that have had a lasting impact on Kings Canyon. Check out the official blurb below to see what’s changed:
After a shadowy figure brought down the Repulsor Tower, the Apex Games were forced to shut down for a brief period. During that time, the lack of the Repulsor Tower allowed beasts to once again take their natural place in Kings Canyon, and in doing so brought with them a level of destruction that has left certain areas of the map unrecognizable. Crews setup base camps and worked around the clock to repair the map, also taking this time to add new features to the arena, while the lack of Legends have allowed certain areas of Kings Canyon to stabilize and grow.
If that sounds intriguing, then take a look at the trailer below to see some of that story in action, teasing what new things you can expect:
Season 2 will also see the introduction of Ranked Leagues, where players compete for supremacy, and a few rewards along the way. As you progress through the six ranking tiers, you will unlock cosmetic rewards to display your achievements to the world. There’s also a Season 2 Battle Pass available for 950 Apex Coins, that unlocks challenges, emotes, skins and crafting materials over its 100 levels of progression. Players wishing to get a 25 level boost can purchase the Battle Pass bundle for 2,800 Apex Coins.
And to top it off, there’s also a brand new rare and powerful LMG dubbed L Star, which fires large, high-damage plasma projectiles, so be on the lookout for it as you perfect your loadout.
Apex Legends is out now on PC, PS4 and Xbox One
