Two new offline modes are available for Tetris 99
Two new offline modes are now available for Tetris 99 on the Switch as paid DLC. If that wasn’t enough for you then you’ll be glad to hear that the third Grand Prix event will be kicking off on Friday 17th May at 09:00 CEST and running until Monday 20th May at 08:59 CEST.
Players who earn 100 event points during the Grand Prix will unlock an in-game theme inspired by the original TETRIS game for the Game Boy.
That still not enough? Well, the Big Block DLC season pass is available now on the Nintendo eShop and includes the following two modes:
- CPU Battle – Play TETRIS® 99 offline against 98 CPU players
- Marathon – Challenge yourself in this offline mode to clear the most lines and score big
A further offline mode will be released this year, with more details to follow at a later date.
Both the CPU Battle and Marathon modes are played entirely offline meaning that anyone who has a Switch and a copy of TETRIS 99 can purchase the Big Block DLC and will be able to take them both for a spin even if you don’t have a Nintendo Switch Online membership. However, participation in the games online modes will require you to have a Switch Online membership.
