Free to play online action RPG Dauntless is coming to Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and Mobile devices in 2019.
The game’s transition to other devices from PC was announced at last night’s Game Award ceremony (where God of War picked up the game of the year award). The game will arrive on PS4 and Xbox One in April while Switch and mobile devices will get their versions later in the year.
Along with this the game’s developers Phoenix Labs announced that the game’s newest update Frostfall was now live, and that the game now has a new Behemoth to hunt called Valomyr. Another addition is the ability to buy what’s called a Hunt Pass for $10, granting you activities and challenges to complete that reward you with exclusive items.
Additionally, Phoenix Labs believe this multi-platform launch will allow them to fulfil their vision of a ‘One Dauntless’, essentially a complete cross-platform play and progression management. How this will work with Sony’s reticence remains to be seen.
