2K Foundations to Support Communities Across the U.S.

2K, publisher of the NBA 2K games, has announced its plans to refurbish basketball courts across America and provide support to underserved communities.

With its new programme 2K Foundations, the company will also help to provide essential technology upgrades to local community centres, enabling STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) education programming for youth. Microsoft is also offering its aid, donating Xbox One S consoles and other equipment to each location.

“2K Foundations is inspired by the basketball community and passionate NBA 2K fans who have been enthusiastic about their love for the game over the last two decades,” said Jason Argent, Senior Vice President of Basketball Operations for NBA 2K. “Basketball has been so good to us, and we want to pay it forward to the communities that need it most, by helping to enhance the lives of youth both on the court and in the classroom.”

This is a great cause, especially considering the state the US is in right now. Hopefully these locations will feel the benefit of 2K Foundations’ support.
