Martin O’Donnell uploads original video recording session for Halo 2
Martin O’Donnell, a video game composer, best known for his work on the Halo and Destiny series, has recently uploaded a video to Youtube showcasing the recording session for songs in Bungie’s Halo 2.
Given that the game is nearly 15 years old, it’s understandable that the video image quality is not great, but the sound – which is the most important – is as magical as ever, and well worth a listen for those who fondly remember taking on the Xbox adventure back in 2004.
It’s nice to see a glimpse into how these magical compositions are made, and the mood and atmosphere surrounding creating such memorable pieces.
