Halo: The Master Chief Collection Xbox One X update now available

In preparation for the launch of Halo: The Master Chief Collection on Gamepass this coming Saturday, a new update is now live. Brace yourselves though, as it lands at a whopping 73GB so well worth getting ahead of the game with the download if you can.

The update is to provide all of enhancements Microsoft announced recently that mainly focus on improved visual effects for the Xbox One X and improved matchmaking functionality.

Another addition that people will appreciate is the option of “Intelligent Delivery” which is being added to the collection, which essentially allows you to choose which parts of which games you want to install. Given the size of the package, in that it is four games in one, this gives players the ability to manage their experience in line with their available console storage capabilities, which is a nice touch.

This is likely to be the first of many updates for the compendium, as the team look for more quality of life improvements based on feedback from gamers, so expect more tweaks in the future.
