Forza Horizon 4 To “Push To The Extreme” On PC

by on August 24, 2018

In a recent interview with PC Gamer, Playground Games’ studio art director Benjamin Penrose had some news for those wanting to play Microsoft’s big Autumn title on PC.

“We’re now basing our recommended spec on 60 frames per second and not 30, which is a change from Forza Horizon 3… We’re really happy with the stability and performance from launch this time round. And we’ve also got a whole bunch of new options you can push [your PC] to the extreme beyond Ultra, if you’ve got a very powerful PC.”

He also goes on to mention customisable camera options (presumably similar to the field-of-view settings on most PC games) and, for the first time in a PC Forza game, HDR is available.

Having played Forza Horizon 3 on PC, it’s clear that Playground Games can do great things beyond the Xbox, and the team has apparently learned a lot from that experience. It sounds like PC gamers may get the ultimate Forza Horizon 4 experience…assuming they have the hardware to run it.

Forza Horizon 4 arrives on Xbox One and PC on October 2nd, with the Ultimate Edition allowing early access from September 28th.
