Overwatch Anniversary event begins May 22, all seasonal cosmetics return, new edition announced
Blizzard just announced the two year anniversary event for Overwatch.
The event goes on from May 22 until June 12 on all platforms. It will feature 50 new cosemtics and a new Deathmatch map. The event will also bring back all previous seasonal cosmetics in addition to the new ones. The new cosmetics include 8 legendary skins and 3 epics. Doomfist, Moira, and Brigitte get new dance emotes.
Logging in for the event nets you a new bonus Legendary Anniversary loot box that guarantees one legendary item. Buying a 50 Loot Box bundle nets you one bonus legendary anniversary loot box. Overwatch will also have a free weekend from May 25 until May 29. PS+ is not required for the free weekend.
In addition to that, a new digital edition of Overwatch launches on May 22. This includes sets of Legendary, Epic, and Origin skins that nets you 15 skins with a purchase.
Overwatch is available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
