Rare has announced that a final beta for the upcoming Microsoft exclusive, Sea of Thieves, is now available.
The beta is live currently, and will run through until 10 a.m. GMT on 11 March. This test is the culmination of the Technical Alpha, Closed Beta and Scaled Tests that have been run recently,
In addition to the Gold Hoarders quests available in the Closed Beta, Rare has enabled Merchant Alliance voyages for the first time, giving players an entirely new way to play. In addition, pirates have the chance to come across occupied Skeleton Forts – enabling new emergent gameplay opportunities.
This is the biggest test yet, and to ensure a quality experience for everyone Rare will be managing overall player load to ensure that everyone gets to experience the high seas. In the event of any bottlenecks, keep a fair weather eye trained on the status page on Seaofthieves.com as well as regular updates via the Twitter feed – @SeaOfThieves.
This final test will not be covered by an NDA, so players can stream, create videos, share clips and take screenshots.
