The Crew 2 driving to a June 29 release date
Ubisoft’s sequel to The Crew – cunningly titled ‘The Crew 2’ – has got an official release date.
The open world driving game (kind of like Burnout Paradise) sequel is making its way to PS4, Xbox One and PC, PS4 Pro users will find the game has been enhanced to make use of the machine’s extra power (no word on Xbox One X enhancements as yet), and will feature a redesigned facsimile of America once again. You’ll drive across the country collecting a wide range of vehicles with which to compete with.
In the announcement trailer above is also mention of the Motor Edition, which will grant access to the game three days early. This version of the game also includes the gold edition of the game, plus the inevitable season pass, the Motorsports Deluxe Pack which includes a selection of outfits and vehicles as well as a bunch of extra gubbins like a Steelbook and an official roadmap.
Pre-ordering the game will get you the Legendary Motors Pack which will feature cars like the Mercedes AMD C 63 Touring Car 2016 and hogs like the Harley Davidson Iron 883 2017 (quite recent, how are these legendary exactly?).
If you have a copy of The Crew lying around you can start building your car collection for The Crew 2 by completing a series of challenges Ubisoft are rolling out now. Up to nineteen cars can be unlocked including some water vehicles.
One last thing, you can sign up for the beta , if you are so inclined.
