Sonic Mania has a level select cheat which enables Debug Mode
Sonic Mania is doing very well with critics and fans alike, and given how much of a throwback it is, of course there are cheats.
Over on Reddit (where else?) people have found the cheat codes within 24 hours of the game being out.
To access level select on Switch, simply go to the main splash screen “Press a button to start” and hold down B, Y, and + (the plus symbol/start button).
The cool thing is that this also enables debug mode. Hit X and you can play around and place items, enemies, and even pop a end-of-level goal next to you. Debug mode does disable saving, though, just so you know.
We’ve tested this on Switch and it works, but we couldn’t get it to work with the corresponding buttons on Xbox One or PS4.
