Nintendo UK interviews Image & Form about SteamWorld Dig 2 on Switch
Nintendo UK spoke to Julius Guldbog of Image & Form about SteamWorld Dig 2 on Switch.
I’m a big fan of Image & Form’s SteamWorld games. SteamWorld heist is one of my favourite portable games of last year. With Nintendo Switch, they are developing a bigger and better SteamWorld Dig game and it is SteamWorld Dig 2.
Some highlights from the interview are as follows:
The team has grown to 20+ people now.
SteamWorld Dig was pretty short and they had to release it in that state because they ran out of money.
SteamWorld Dig 2 will have multiple worlds, boss fights, gear customization, more metroid like elements, and more.
The world is no longer procedurally generated and the big team has handcrafted the levels.
SteamWorld Dig 2 will be 1080p 60fps docked and 60fps in handheld mode.
HD Rumble will be a big feature in Dig 2.
