Keiji Okayasu joins Shenmue III team as sub-director
Ys Net has announced that the original director of Shenmue, Keiji Okayasu, has joined the development team for the third title in the franchise as the game’s sub-director.
In a new video, Okayasu discusses his aims for Shenmue III as well as his past achievements throughout his career. You can find the interview below.
Shenmue III raised over $6m last June in a overwhelmingly successful Kickstarter campaign, with Yu Suzuki, creator of the original series, returning to develop. Shenmue 3 has an expected release date of late 2017 and will be available on PC and PlayStation 4.
