Sony have clarified that every title released for PlayStation VR will be compatible with their DualShock 4 controller, following a bout of confusion after some game box art displayed PlayStation Move as mandatory accessories.
In a statement to Eurogamer, Sony said: “All PlayStation VR titles will support DualShock 4 controllers. However some game experiences will be enhanced with the use of peripherals such as Move or the recently announced Aim controller. Images being shown of PSVR packaging on some websites are early mock ups and not representative of the finished packaging.”
Box art for PlayStation VR games will vary, with exclusive titles displaying ‘PlayStation VR Required’ while PlayStation 4 games that support PlayStation VR, either throughout the entire game or in a separate mode, will display ‘PlayStation VR Compatible’.
PlayStation VR is set for launch on October 13.
