PlayStation 4 sales cross 40 million consoles sold as PS+ subscriptions near 21 million

Sony Interactive Entertainment just announced that the PlayStation 4 has now sold more than 40 million units and they have almost 21 million PlayStation Plus subscribers at a corporate briefing.

This makes the PlayStation 4 the fastest selling PlayStation in terms of penetration. More interesting bits of information come in the form of PlayStation Plus subscribers. There are now nearly 21 million subscribers to Sony’s PlayStation Plus service. There’s even a mention of the partnership with Kojima Productions and PS VR as an investment for the future.
