Horizon: Zero Dawn pushed back to March 3, 2017

The managing director of Guerrilla Games has announced that the studio’s sci-fi action title Horizon: Zero Dawn, first unveiled during Sony’s E3 conference last year, has been pushed back until March 3, 2017.

The PS4 exclusive had an initial release window of 2016, but as Hermen Hulst explains in a post on the PlayStation Blog, the studio wants to deliver a product that “lives up to the visuals and gameplay quality that our games are known for”. He continues by saying: “We realise that this decision may not please everyone. At the same time, we’re confident that the advantages of the additional development time afforded by the new date will become clear in the coming months, as we start to share more cool details and videos from Horizon Zero Dawn.”

Alongside the news, the studio released a brand new trailer showing off the lead character, Aloy. You can find it above. Horizon: Zero Dawn will release in the UK on March 3, 2017 — exclusively on PlayStation 4.
