Siren: Blood Curse has been rated by the Korean Game Rating Board, fuelling a rumour that the game will be seeing a remastered release on PlayStation 4.
Reported by Gematsu, Siren: Blood Curse was rated and released on PlayStation 3 in an episodic form back in 2008. In Japan and wider Asia, it was titled Siren: New Translation which is what it appears as in the historic rating entry. First-party Sony titles are not labelled for any specific system in the KGRB’s system.
The outlet asks why the western title has appeared in the KGRB’s listing eight years after its initial release, and has proposed that the game could be getting a remastered release on PlayStation 4. The survival horror game had a cult following and was received well by critics, revolving around a small mountain town in Japan which is inhabited by undying zombie-like creatures known as Shibito.
We’ll keep you posted if there is any more information regarding the existence of a remaster.
