Overwatch open beta had 9.7 million players globally

Blizzard Entertainment just announced that the Overwatch open beta was their biggest open beta ever as it had 9.7 million players globally.

They also shared some interesting statistics about the beta. Players had played more than 81 million hours together and more than 37 million matches were played. Unfortunately no statistics were provided for the number of times it was high noon during the beta.

Overwatch will launch on May 24 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC via Battle.net only.
