Strategy Card Game Chronicle: Runescape Legends enters open beta
The world between card games and videogames continues to merge as Chronicle: Runescape Legends enters its open Beta.
Jagex are trying to infuse traditional card game battling with elements more commonly seen with Role Playing Games.
The end result is an interesting hybrid where an adventure is form through card selection and face to face battles.
In an interesting twist, the players decide the monsters they will face in battle as opposed to fighting randomly generated foes.
The original beta saw over 250,000 players take part. Headline content to be introduced during the open beta phase includes: New Legends, Dungeoneering, Skilling, Customisation, Leaderboards, and new environments.
