UPDATE (Dec 15):Â It appears that Activision’s statement yesterday about Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 not releasing in the UK was a bit of a mistake: the game appears to have launched quietly on the Xbox 360 marketplace overnight. There’s no PS3 version in sight yet, but Eurogamer suggests that it may make an appearance on the PlayStation Store tomorrow when it updates.
UPDATE (14:16): At the time of publishing, it was unconfirmed whether Activision planned to release Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 in the UK on last-gen systems. As it stands now, the publisher have no plans to release on Xbox 360 and PS3 with Activision contacting us to say that “We’re not releasing in the UK on those platforms at this time”.
ORIGINAL POST:Â The PlayStation blog has let-slip that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 will be releasing tomorrow on last-gen, as Activision just manage to release the game on PS3 and Xbox 360. In the U.S. at least.
Pro Skater 5 was originally delayed on last-gen consoles prior to the game’s worldwide release on October 2. The game received a complete visual overhaul only a month before going to market, with Xbox 360 and PS3 versions being delayed until November 12.
It seems that the game totally missed that mark too, only being launched tomorrow in the U.S., with a European release date yet to be confirmed. After reading Dan’s review, it might be best if we keep it quarantined across the pond for the time being.
