The League of Legends World Championships kicks off on October 15, and will be broadcast on BBC Three.
BBC Three have teamed up with the BBC Sports team and the people behind their Glastonbury coverage to bring the Livestream to your television sets.
It’s a considerable departure for Aunty, but considering the ridiculously large player base League of Legends has it’s a good move, and brings eSports further into the limelight of mainstream entertainment.
Who knows, this could be the first step to seeing videogames as prime time entertainment (would make a welcome difference from X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing).
Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a bake off to watch.
