Despite not actually being out yet Mortal Kombat X is already receiving support from ESL in the form of the Mortal Kombat X Pro League.
The Pro League will kick off on May 3, offering up $1,000 weekly prize pools as well as season points. Those who perform well throughout the season stand a chance of being invited to the Global Finals, which are due to take place in Burbank California. The finals will offer up a prize pool of at least $50,000 and will feature seven players from North America, five from Europe two from the CIS region and another two open slots.
Before the Pro League kicks off an exhibition tournament will be held on April 11. The event will feature eight invited players who will compete for a share of the $10,000 prize pool ($5,000 of which will go to the winner). The tournament will be streamed on the NetherRealm Twitch channel.
