Twitch Announces TwitchCon

Streaming service Twitch has announced that they are hosting a “celebration of all things Twitch” this September.

The event that was announced in a blog post is known as TwitchCon and will be held in San Francisco from September 25-26.

Just what the event will entail is still unknown but the initial announcement has suggested that it will be a fairly informal event with a chance to meet major Twitch broadcasters as well as watch live content and learn for Twitch’s biggest stars.

Emmett Shear, CEO of Twitch has this to say about the announcement of TwitchCon.

“Twitch broadcasters have the most passionate fans, so we want to create an amazing experience where they can come together in person,”

“TwitchCon will be an opportunity for the entire community – broadcasters, game developers, viewers, and us – to play and learn together.”
