World of Tanks developer Wargaming has partnered with ESL to integrate the Battle API they developed into the ESL Play platform.
The partnership will offer a great improvement for World of Tanks players who wish to take part in eSports. Once implemented the system will allow players to earn in-game credits and battle experience when taking part in both online and offline competition, something not possible before. After the system has been added into the WoT client it will automise actions such as in game invites, score postings and bracket updates.
Steven Neale, Product Manager at ESL had this to say about the exciting partnership.
“We’re very excited to begin testing in March and plan to have the system up and running by mid-April,”
“Battle API integration means players can worry less about bureaucracy and focus more on enjoying World of Tanks and esport competition. It also improves the level of commentary and analysis that we are able to provide in our professional broadcasts. That’s what we’re after: a better experience for all.”
