Blizzard Reveal New IP Overwatch

During its opening ceremony at Blizzcon 2014, Blizzard announced their new IP Overwatch.

Shown off with a CG trailer, the following gameplay trailer confirmed that Overwatch is a team based competitive FPS.

The game has a strong emphasis on character’s, more similar to a title like League of Legends, in which each character has very unique abilities to use during a match.

Characters are designed around archetypes such as offence, defence, tank and support, but each character controls differently in regards to all aspects. Some characters can easily mantle walls, while others can fly for periods of time. Others, meanwhile, can teleport.

This is the first FPS Blizzard has developed, and their first new IP in seventeen years.

Overwatch will launch in 2015, and you can register for Beta access on the official Overwatch website.
