Last month I headed down to the Ricoh Arena for Insomnia 52, and it was a lot of fun, you can read my thoughts right here. Anyway it turns out a lot of other people did as well. Today Multiplay has announced that over 30,000 attended the three-day event.
The amount of visitors to i52 easily beat the previous record from i51 and thus became the UK’s biggest gaming festival to date.
Craig Fletcher, CEO & Founder of Multiplay, seems very pleased with the event overall.
“We can’t thank our community enough for the awe-inspiring level of passion and commitment they have for the Insomnia Gaming Festival,”
“We consider it an honour that we get to work alongside so many amazing partners to produce the most compelling content and unique entertainment in UK gaming. Insomnia53 is going to end the year with a bang, as we deliver something truly special for our incredible community.”
You can see pictures from the event over on the official Flickr page. The first one to correctly identify me in any of the pictures wins a round of applause.
