ESL Bringing Dota 2 To Madison Square Garden
After leaking on Reddit/YouTube a day or two ago the ESL One New York 2014 event has finally been confirmed.
The event will see the finest Dota 2 teams head to The Theater in Madison Square Garden in New York to battle it out over a prize pool that is currently $100,000. However this may increase with ticket contributions, as was the case with ESL’s Frankfurt event.
The event itself will run on October 9th and 10th and will be a part of ReedPOP’s inaugural New York Super Week. The joinDOTA crew will once again be casting the event.
Information regarding qualification and invites will be announced in the coming weeks.
James Lampkin, Product Manager for ESL One had this to say.

The competitive Dota world is slowly starting to re-awaken after the conclusion of TI4. While no major tournaments kick off until next month there is currently a few qualifying tournaments to keep us entertained.
