Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs has managed to hold on to the top spot in the UK gaming sales charts for another week – a feat made easier by a complete lack of new releases in the list. With no new entries, the chart order remains largely unchanged although Minecraft has made a surge back up to third place and The LEGO Movie Videogame returns to the top ten for the first time in weeks – no doubt helped by the DVD release of the movie last week.
Watch Dogs has managed to capitalise on the rather stagnant state of new releases at retail, where it has been relatively unchallenged for weeks. The Last of Us: Remastered will hit stores later this week however – being the first major release in quite some time. Perhaps that will challenge Watch Dogs somewhat – but being a PlayStation 4 exclusive, it may not have the install base to knock the current champion off their perch.
