Over the weekend, at the Injustice tournament finals at EVO, NetherRealm Studios revealed the latest fighter to join the roster of Mortal Kombat X would be the God of Thunder himself, series stalwart Raiden.
This comes as no surprise, as he was bound to be a part of the game, but we get a really good look at the new game engine in action, and some of the lovely new particle effects that bring his lightning attacks to life. He will make use of three main play styles; Thunder God, Storm Lord and Displacer – all of which make use of his different skills to deal damage, dodge and set traps for his enemies.
In the video we also get to see more footage of new series fighter Kotal Khan – who wields some bone-crunching weaponry – which we see quite literally in action with X-Ray attacks.
Back at E3, we spoke to John Edwards of NetherRealm – you can see the interview here.
