Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Getting Secret Bases
The Pokémon company has announced that players will be able to create their own Secret Bases Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.
You’ll be able to set up mazes and traps for visitors, along with special battle rules, effectively turning it into your own Gym.
You can share your base via StreetPass, or generate a QR code for friends further afield to scan. You can be invited back to another player’s base using Secret Pals, and doing so allows you to share decoration, hatch eggs faster and even raise a select Pokémon’s level by one.
All in all it sounds cool – I’ve always wanted my own Pokémon Gym – but we’ll have to wait until the games’ launch later this year to find out. For now you can check out some screens of secret bases in the gallery below.
