When Microsoft revealed at E3 that they would be releasing a mega Halo package, that would incorporate the first four games, fans everywhere were most intrigued about the full remaster of Halo 2. At the Rooster Teeth Expo at the weekend, a whole load of new details about this re-mastered version of the classic title were revealed.
Firstly, a walkthrough gameplay video was released for the re-mastered Ascension map – letting us see what it will be like to have one of the classic Halo 2 multiplayer maps re-built in full High Definition. You can see that video at the end of this post. As well as that though, it was announced that Coagulation would also be one of the six Halo 2 maps to get a makeover in the new title. Coagulation was a remake of the Halo: Combat Evolved multiplayer map Blood Gulch.
To top things off, a new trailer for the whole collection was shown at the Expo, entitled Terminal. And this continues the idea of Terminals, that was started in the Anniversary edition of Halo: Combat Evolved. Whereas the Terminals in that game foreshadowed the story for Halo 4, the new Terminals in Halo 2 Anniversary will give us an idea of what to expect from the forthcoming Halo 5.
