GTA V Gets Independence Day Update

Today patch 1.15 has launched for GTA Online on 360 and PS3. The patch, better known as the Independence Day Special, brings a slew of new content to help you celebrate your independence.

The new content, which will be redeemable until mid July, includes a brand new Liberator monster truck and the Sovereign motorcycle on the vehicle front whilst a musket and a firework rocket launcher have been added to the weapon collection.

There are also seven new properties to purchase some of which provide plenty of yard space for you to experiment with the 12 varieties of fireworks on offer. Oh and you can also ride the Ferris Whale and the Leviathan Roller Coaster down at the Pleasure Pier.

To fully get into the holiday spirit you can now wear the “Made in the U.S.A.” t-shirt whilst rocking a backwoods mullet. There is even animal masks for some reason!

If you’re not into the whole Independence Day thing the biggest news in this update for you will be the new On Call Matchmaking. This new feature allows you to remain in free roam mode until a job is full, instead of having to wait in the lobby, doing nothing.
