Prove Your Dancing Skills In The Just Dance World Cup 2014

by on June 26, 2014

Dancing isn’t just for fun anymore – as evidenced by the popularity of shows such as Strictly Come Dancing and the like – so it comes as little surprise that Ubisoft and the Electronic Sports World Cup (ESWC) are launching the Just Dance 2014 World Cup this year – the first time that a “casual” video game will be part of the ESWC line-up of titles.

Events run by ESWC involve national qualifying rounds, and build up to a live world final – and Just Dance will be no different. Qualifiers for the tournament begin immediately, taking place between June 24th and September 21st online and around the world at gaming events.

Matthieu Dallon, founder of the ESWC states:

“For the 11th edition of the ESWC, we are very proud to widen the definition of eSport with Ubisoft. Competitive gaming has to welcome all kind of players, has to be developed in partnership with the games publishers, and has to showcase the most advanced technologies which link the body to the game. Just Dance is for ESWC the perfect medium to reach those goals.”

For full details on how to participate and qualify for the competition, please see the official website here. The world finals will be played on the brand new Just Dance 2015, and will take place from October 30th to November 1st, 2014 – where the top twenty participants will have their performances marked by a jury and submitted to online voting.
