Microsoft has revealed Kinect v2 for Windows.
Announced via a blog post, it looks a lot like the Xbox One Kinect unit, only with a standard power indicator in place of the glowing X and a Kinect label on the top.
Cable wise it comes with a power brick and a hub splitter that includes a USB 3.0 cable.
While there’s no release date yet, the post does say: “As this first look at the Kinect for Windows v2 hardware indicates, we’re getting closer and closer to launch. So stay tuned for more updates on the next generation of Kinect for Windows.”
