It is almost two months since EA Sports confirmed that they would be releasing a new standalone football title to tie in with the World Cup that is being held in Brazil this summer. Rather than releasing a downloadable add-on, like they did with Euro 2012, a full retail game will be accompanying the biggest event in world football.
According to the U.S. PlayStation blog, a demo for this new release will be coming this week, as in their column “The Drop”, where upcoming digital titles are dated, the blog has stated that a PS3 demo for the game will be arriving on April 1st. This has yet to be confirmed by EA Sports, and there has been no news on the Xbox 360 demo either – but it is likely that the official PlayStation blog would be accurate in knowing what will be released online this week.
