Remember the ESL One DOTA 2 tournament we told you about last week. Well tickets went on sale and within minutes the initial wave of tickets sold out.
Although the amount of tickets that were available has not been revealed we do know that demand has been extremely high. Fortunately more tickets will be made available in the coming days, priced at €18.90 for a single day ticket, €29.90 for a weekend ticket and €149.90 for a premium weekend ticket. You can find out more information about the tickets and how to buy them on the official ESL ONE website.
ESL’s Managing Director of Pro Gaming, Ulrich Schulze is certain the event will be a success.
“We were absolutely overwhelmed by the speed at which tickets were selling. Seeing so many fans wanting to be there for the biggest Dota 2 event to date has once again assured us that filling a football stadium in eSports is not a fantasy anymore.”
For those of you wondering how DOTA 2 can be played in a football stadium the ESL team have released a concept image of how they plan to display the game. The image, which can be seen below, shows a giant screen suspended at one end of the stadium with seating running across the pitch and obviously in the surrounding stands.
