Thief Companion App Detailed

The ‘lite’ version of the Thief companion app will launch later this month on iOS and Android Eidos-Montréal has announced. The lite version of the app will display Thief news as it happens, give access to all the latest trailers, artwork, exclusive screenshots and in-depth character bios and will provide further details of the game’s story.

The full version of the app will launch alongside the game itself on 28th February 2014. The full version of the app will have much more functionality, including: a direct link to the main game to track your in-game stats and stolen loot, the official wiki, official interactive digital maps, issues #1 and #2 of the official Thief digital comics, exclusive never before seen art and background content direct from the development team and finally access to official Thief merchandise.

Along with the reveal of the companion app a trailer for the game, titled Channeling the Primal was released. The trailer, which can be seen below, was apparently created using in game visuals and reveals the moment when Garrett and Erin discover that the artifact they were hired to steal is at the centre of a bizarre ritual.
