Battlefield 4 may well have been one of the most highly-anticipated games of the year – both on previous and next-generation consoles – but its launch has been marred by many issues and errors. PlayStation 4 users seem to be suffering the most from these problems, but it is also an issue on at least the Xbox One and PC versions too.
Electronic Arts representatives have quickly moved to re-assure gamers that these issues are being looked into already. IGN have reported that EA have gone as far as saying that the development team at DICE won’t be working on ANY other projects until Battlefield 4 is working as it should be. This means that work on Star Wars Battlefront 3 and Mirror’s Edge 2 will both be put on hold indefinitely, so that more resources can be directed toward fixing their current product.
The China Rising DLC was also released for Battlefield 4 this week, but that has only caused further issues. This has led many gamers to suggest that this DLC should have been made free, in order to amend for all of the issues that faithful fans of the series are having to endure through. We will have to wait to see if EA does offer any recompense to gamers for the current troubles.
