Remember Frozen Synapse? If you don’t, correct that. It was a fantastic strategy game that flew largely under the radar in in 2011. Its developer, Mode 7, has a brand new press release that has us buzzing. The exclusive beta for their next title, Frozen Endzone, is going public at the end of the month!
Frozen Endzone is a “tactical future sport game” that is said to leverage the strategic depth of Frozen Synapse while enhancing it with a revamped interface and all-new gameplay. Instead of killing your opponent, this time the goal is to get get the ball into your opponent’s endzone. It’s all helped by randomly generated situations and terrain for a different experience every time.
The game is touted to run on “unique simultaneous-turn-based gameplay.” I have no idea what in the world that means, but it sounds neat. Take a peek at the trailer for a look at what to expect.
