Pokemon X and Y may well have launched this week, as one of the most-anticipated gaming releases of the year so far, but that wasn’t enough to stop the all-conquering Grand Theft Auto V from knocking back FIFA 14 into second place and re-claiming the number one position in the UK Charts for itself.
Pokemon managed to take both the third and fourth spots in the chart, still lagging behind the massive sporting phenom that is FIFA. PlayStation 3 exclusive Beyond: Two Souls was edged out by all of these other big, established franchises and could only manage to get into fifth place, despite some heavy marketing efforts. Elsewhere, retro battler Dragon’s Crown squeaked into nineteenth position, which was somewhat expected as the game launched quite quietly in terms of promotion.
