Hot on the heels of their recent PS3 Xillia outing, Namco Bandai have today announced that the similarly PlayStation 3 Tales of Symphonia Chronicles is going to be hitting Europe and Australasia on February 28 2014. Coming to celebrate the ten year anniversary of the lauded Gamecube original, the bundle includes high definition remakes of the original and the Wii sequel Dawn of the New World, with a host of new content including the original Japanese voiceovers.
If that wasn’t enough, there will be a lavish Collector’s Edition which includes a set of five Chibi Kyun Charamini figures based upon the games, a paperback novel (!)that bridges the narrative gap between the two titles, a multi-disc CD soundtrack and stunning packaging including exclusive Japanese artwork.
Naturally, such a hefty package is going to be in demand, particularly as there will only be 10,000 copies available across the two territories. What I am saying is: get your pre-orders in now, chaps.
Mathieu Piau, EMEA Marketing Director for Namco Bandai, is very excited about the release:
In celebration of the 10th Anniversary, we wanted to mark the occasion! Bringing back this epic adventure was the first step to please fans and newcomers alike. The second step was to offer all our beloved Tales fans the Collector’s Edition they deserve!
Comfortably the finest RPG to grace the Gamecube, Symphonia should be a huge success when it is released in February if it is handled as well as promised.
