On top of the newly-revealed Just Dance 2014 Wii U bundle, Nintendo have announced a further two Wii U hardware packs that will be coming to retail in time for Christmas – taking the total of new hardware packs to three.
As well as the Just Dance 2014 pack, there will be a Wii U Mario & Luigi Premium Pack – that will supply gamers with:New Super Mario Bros. U and New Super Luigi U packaged on one disc, a black premium Wii U console with 32GB of storage, plus a black Wii U GamePad. This will hit retail on November 8, priced at £249.99.
And the third set, rounding out the group is the Wii U Wii Party U + Nintendo Land Basic Pack – which contains a white Wii U console with 8GB of storage, a white Wii U GamePad and Wii Remote Plus, Sensor Bar and copies of upcoming game Wii Party U and Nintendo Land. This will hit retail on November 18, also priced at £249.99.
With all of these new packs, Nintendo are firmly looking to re-establish the console with consumers over the Christmas period. The Premium pack looks like a particularly good deal, priced at the same cost as both of the other 2-game packs. It remains to be seen if this can help breath new life into the under-performing console.
