Wonderful 101 Nintendo Direct Explains Mass-Hero Action

The man himself, Hideki Kamiya, took over a Nintendo Direct broadcast today to explain how to play the upcoming Platinum Games title, The Wonderful 101.

The Direct covers the basic premise of the game before explaining how the combat works, including mechanics such as the multi-unite attack. For anyone interested in the potential depth of the game, it’s rather illuminating.

Of course anyone doubting that the creator of Bayonetta would make something lacking in nuance is clearly not a follower of the man’s work.

Also aired was a rather lengthy, and somewhat spoiler-y, trailer. It’s seven minutes long and shows a lot of things from the game. If you’re still on the fence about the title then sure, take a peek, but if you know you’re buying, my advice is to steer clear.
