Nintendo UK Launches Mario Kart Facebook App

Nintendo have added a Mario Kart 7 Facebook app to their Nintendo 3DS UK Facebook page, giving players a hub in which to compete and chat.

The app will announce weekly tournaments using specific community codes, and also let players compete in Time Trial leaderboards against fellow UK players.

The app will also crown one player each month in its Hall of Fame, immortalising someone as a Mario Kart champion for everyone to see.

It’s great to see Nintendo supporting players in such a direct fashion, when that is often not the case. It’s also great to see them continuing support for a game such as Mario Kart 7, a title nearing its second birthday.

Now if they could just offer Kid Icarus: Uprising this sort of love, then I’d be a happy gamer…
