Today, another of Nintendo’s regular Direct webcasts took place. The live video was at 15:00, so here is the gist of what Nintendo had to offer, starting with the Wii U news:
- Animal Crossing Plaza
A brand new download for Wii U available right now, is a place for owners of the 3DS smash hit Animal Crossing: New Leaf, to interact with each other. Fans of the game can transfer images and QR codes from their 3DS (via SD Card) and share them via Miiverse. - Pokemon Rumble U
The latest edition of Pokemon Rumble, allows Pokemaniacs to control and battle each one of Pokemon Black & White Version 2’s 649 monsters, all in cute toy form. - Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U News
In a move that will surprise no-one, Luigi has been announced as a playable character in the long-running Nintendo slugfest. - Sonic Lost World
Available on both 3DS and Wii U on 18th October, the latest outing for the blue blur allows players with the 3DS version to create and customise remote controlled gadgets, that can be uploaded to the Wii U version as part of the game’s co-op mode. - Rayman Legends
It was announced that in the Wii U version of this eagerly awaited platformer, Rayman will be able to dress up as the Mario Bros. It was also revealed that remastered versions of Rayman Origins levels will be unlockable in Legends. - Art Academy: SketchPad
Arriving on the Wii U eShop on 9th August, this application will feature elements from the upcoming Art Academy and allow artists to create and share their work on Miiverse. - The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD
Yet more footage of the GameCube remake was shown, including news that the game will be subject to improvements, including faster sailing. - The Wonderful 101
Platinum Games’ next quirky hit will be the subject of it’s own Nintendo Direct, on 9th August, at 14:00. - A trailer showcasing a ton of indie games coming to Wii U:

- Professor Layton & The Azran Legacy
The final game in the second Layton trilogy will finally reach European shores on 8th November. - Professor Layton Vs Phoenix Wright
The early Japanese Nintendo 3DS game will unbelievably be coming to Europe in early 2014.
- Animal Crossing: New Leaf Promotion
In yet another brilliant 3DS promotion, if you own Animal Crossing: New Leaf and register it before 7th September; you can collect a Recommendation Code. If a friend registers a Nintendo 3DS XL between 7th August and 7th October, they can redeem this code for a digital copy of the game! - KORG M01D
Following similar releases on the Nintendo DS, KORG will be bringing a new synth to the eShop this Autumn, allowing musicians to create their own tracks using a built-in sequencer, as well as export them to a MIDI format.

Released today, this action platformer look’s like a solid cross between Metroid and Minecraft – We’ll have a review on this very soon. - Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of The Titan
The latest in the JRPG series from Atlus is coming on 30th August. - Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers
Yet another Atlus JRPG is coming; this one is out on 13th September. - Super Mario Bros. 2
The classic NES platformer is out now for the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console

Sadly, the next Mario Golf game has been delayed until 2014.
