Microsoft’s $200,000 Halo 4 Grand Finals will take place at PAX Prime, from August 30th till September 1st, with Sunday’s finals broadcast live on Xbox and Twitch.
The Sunday live stream will take place from 4pm till 6pm (Pacific Time) and will be hosted by Major Nelson and former G4TV hosts Blair Herter and Jessica Chobo. The final will also include musical performances by rappers MegaRan and K-Murdock, and a Cortana tribute by singer/songwriter Malukah. I don’t know either. This lass apparently.
Anyway, there are three ways to watch the festivities:
- Xbox Live Dash. The Halo 4 Global Championship Finals will be streamed live on 1st September at 4pm PT on Xbox Live and HaloWaypoint.com. In addition, viewers will get a first look at Xbox One exclusive launch titles, new announcements, and original content throughout the stream.
- Live Competition at PAX. Come see the action live and watch the competition at Benaroya Hall from 30th August – 1st September. The first 1,000 PAX badge holders will receive a complimentary swag bag that can be picked up after the tournament ends for the day, and everyone who attends in person will have a shot at winning an Xbox One or Special “Halo” Edition Surface Pro!
- Twitch TV. Tune in via the 343 Industries Twitch TV Stream (http://www.Twitch.tv/343Industries) as the top “Halo 4” players from around the globe battle it out from 11:30am to 6pm on Friday, and 11:30am to 4pm on Saturday.
And that’ll be that. Men will be shot, songs will be sung, and champions will be crowned.
Microsoft also took the time to mention a Halo 4 Game of the Year Edition, which includes the Champions Bundle and the War Games Map Pass. Full details and pricing will be revealed on Sunday 1st September.
