Forza Motorsport 5 Limited Edition and Day One Edition Revealed

With that ominous ‘November’ release looming ever closer, Turn 10 have revealed a pair of Forza 5 special editions that will feature a slew of extra digital cars.

The first edition, the Limited Edition, will be exclusive to GAME in the UK. Packaged in a Steelbook case the edition will come with a slew of benefits, detailed below, and retail for approximately £59.99.

The Day One Edition will feature unique packaging, as well as the Day One Car Pack (which is actually included in the Limited Edition as well. Estimated retail price for the Day One edition is £49.99.

Let’s stop mincing words and get down to car names. Here’s what you get in the Limited Edition in handy bullet pointed form:

  • 2011 Audi RS 3 Sportback
  • 2012 Aston Martin Vanquish
  • 2013 Ford M Shelby Mustang GT500
  • 2013 McLaren P1™
  • 2013 SRT Viper GTS

VIP Membership – “Forza Motorsport 5” VIPs enjoy exclusive benefits, including 2x player reward acceleration, access to exclusive multiplayer events, an exclusive in-game player card badge, and in-game gifts from the “Forza” community team.** VIPs will also have access to the “Forza Motorsport 5” VIP Car Pack, featuring five amazing cars only available to VIP members, including:

  • 1965 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C
  • 1987 RUF CTR Yellowbird
  • 1991 Mazda #55 787B 
  • 2011 Ford F150 SVT Raptor
  • 2011 Bugatti Veyron Super Sport

Day One Car Pack

In addition, “Forza Motorsport 5 Limited Edition” owners will receive a custom Steelbook™ case, a decal sheet featuring “Forza Motorsport 5”, “Xbox One”, and Audi window decals, and 1,250 car tokens that will allow Limited Edition owners instant access to any car in the game.

That’s that, but what about the Day One edition? Well that’s just the game, in a Day One box, and you get that last ‘Day One Car Pack’ DLC. For the extra tenner, I’d go with the Limited Edition…
