Ubisoft has posted a live-action trailer of the upcoming Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag entitled, DEFY.
The cheery opening shot of a dead body floating under water and bleeding from the mouth really sets the tone. As you would expect, there’s plenty of swashbuckling, debauchery and [insert piratey thing, here].
Assassin’s Creed is a funny series, really. It’s been a massive hit in terms of sales, for all at Ubisoft. But, it hasn’t been plain sailing, critically. The first wasn’t well-liked, Revelations was generally boring and even though Assassin’s Creed III scored pretty well on the review front, it left a lot of people disappointed.
Of course, ACII and specifically Brotherhood are commonly cherished. Where will Assassin’s Creed IV end up in all of this? Well, we’ll all find out on October 29 in North America and November 1 in Europe when the game eventually comes out on current-gen hardware.
