Ultra Street Fighter IV Announced

During the Evolution Fighting Tournament Capcom’s Yoshinori Ono took to the stage, in his typically bubbly manner, to announce ‘Ultra’ Street Fighter IV.

Ultra Street Fighter IV is a new update to Capcom’s ever popular scrapper that introduces five new characters, several new stages and a slew of balance changes informed from fan feedback.

The game will be released both as a DLC patch for Super Street Fighter IV, and also as a full disc release. Confirmed consoles so far are Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Don’t fancy showing the Wii U some full release love Capcom?

Four of the five characters have been announced. They are Hugo, Elena, Rolento and Poison. Perceptive players might spot that these are all faces recently seen in Street Fighter X Tekken.

The fifth character is yet to be announced but Capcom have confirmed that it is a character that has ‘never been in Street Fighter before’. My money? Haggar. Introducing Haggar would complete the Final Fight love-in, what with Guy, Cody, Hugo and Poison already being playable characters.
