Street Fighter: Legacy was one of the many hit fan films on YouTube based on the fighting game franchise and today, it has been announced that Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist has begun filming.
At San Diego Comic Con, it was revealed this multi-generational story which takes viewers back to flagship characters Ryu and Ken’s younger years. Joey Ansah and Christian Howard – the project’s writers – have penned a bi-lingual script that has attracted some big name Japanese actors, along with some known Western thespians.
Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist is expected to finish filming around August of this year, with a release pencilled in for early 2014.
You can see from the video below that this is something that the team are taking very seriously and its looking like this is one live-action film that Street Fighter fans can be excited about.
